Please leave the apartment by 11:30 am in the condition in which you found it. Just place the key on the table in the entrance area – and have a safe trip home!

If you wish, you can check in by yourself around the clock – via a keypad lock at the front door; the apartment key and, if booked, the garage remote are ready in the hallway outside the apartments. You'll receive the code by email, SMS or WhatsApp shortly before you arrive.

Garage remote

Wireless remote for the building's garage door. Only included if you booked the garage. It is left together with the apartment key in the hallway outside the apartments.

Keypad lock at the front door

A keypad on the building's front door: enter your code and the door unlocks. You'll receive the code by email, SMS or WhatsApp shortly before you arrive.

Subject to availability, you can park exclusively in our lockable house garage — a rare convenience in Regensburg's Old Town.

Nearby car park approx. 7–9 min walk

Daily maximum €14. A good option west of the old town; from here you walk directly through the old town to Silberne Fischgasse.

Petersweg car park

Nearby car park approx. 7–9 min walk

Daily maximum €14. Located south of the old town and convenient when arriving from the south or east.

Arcaden car park

Budget parking approx. 14–18 min walk

Daily maximum €7.50. Alternatively, take the free old-town bus line A from the main station to Gutenbergplatz or Bismarckplatz, then a short walk.

Large free parking area at Protzenweiher. The pleasant walk leads across the Danube and the Eiserner Steg towards the old town.

Limited or unavailable during Dult, fairs and markets.

Park further out and commute

Free, subject to availability by bus into the old town

At the Donau-Einkaufszentrum (DEZ) shopping centre you park free of charge and take the RVV city bus into the old town. The car parks at the university, the OTH university of applied sciences and the Jahnstadion are further options for commuting.

Free old-town bus “EMIL”

Old-town bus lines A and B are free and run Monday to Saturday. Line A connects the main station with the Old Town; line B connects Unterer Wöhrd with the Old Town and the Bismarckplatz/Haidplatz area.

By car — how to reach us.

Silberne Fischgasse is located in the largely pedestrianised Old Town. Direct drop-off is possible with our house garage (see below); otherwise we recommend one of the surrounding parking garages.

From the west or north

From the A93, take the Regensburg-Prüfening exit. Follow Prüfeninger Straße straight on towards the centre, through the Jakobstor gate, then turn right after the traffic lights – you are at Bismarckplatz. Picture 1 shows the final stretch.

Important tip: In your sat-nav, first enter “Neue Filmbühne Regensburg” and then “Silberne Fischgasse 6” as the second destination – this guides you correctly.

Note: You have to drive through a pedestrian zone – as an authorised visitor, you are allowed to do so.

From the south or east

On the A93 towards Hof, take the Regensburg-Königswiesen exit. After the exit, turn right twice onto Kirchmeierstraße, follow it straight ahead and turn left at the large junction into Kumpfmühler Straße towards the centre. Take the third street on the right into Helenenstraße. Picture 2 shows the final stretch.

Important tip: First enter “Auergasse 6, 93047 Regensburg” and then “Silberne Fischgasse 6” as the second destination.

Note: You have to drive through a pedestrian zone – as an authorised visitor, you are allowed to do so. Do not drive through the Grünes Gässchen — it is often too narrow for cars.

Low-emission zone: the old town between the Alleengürtel ring road and the Danube is a low-emission zone. Only vehicles with a green German emissions sticker may drive and park there – including electric cars and vehicles registered abroad; motorcycles and scooters are exempt. Checks mainly target cars parked in public space inside the zone; a violation costs €100 plus fees. Our garage, by contrast, is private property: your car is parked safely there and is not subject to those parking checks – but the sticker requirement for driving into the zone still applies. Otherwise, without a green sticker it is better to park outside the zone, for example at the Arcaden, Dultplatz or the underground car park at the main station. By train — an easy walk from the main station.

Two easy options from Regensburg main station.

Option 1 · on foot

From the station main entrance to the apartment

From the main entrance of the station, walk straight towards the city centre / Maximilianstraße.

  1. At the large junction, turn left into Sankt-Peters-Weg.
  2. Follow Sankt-Peters-Weg to Emmeramsplatz.
  3. At Emmeramsplatz, turn into Grünes Gässchen.
  4. At the end of Grünes Gässchen you reach the apartment in Silberne Fischgasse.
Option 2 · free old-town bus

Take EMIL line A to Gutenbergplatz or Bismarckplatz

Alternatively, use the free old-town bus EMIL, line A. Get off at Gutenbergplatz or Bismarckplatz.

  1. From Gutenbergplatz or Bismarckplatz it is just a few minutes on foot.
  2. From there, follow the car-arrival description from the west/north.

Getting here

By plane — via Munich or Nuremberg.

Regensburg has no commercial airport of its own. The closest are Munich and Nuremberg – from both you can reach us comfortably without a rental car.

Train from Munich Airport

Airport express, no changes

The regional airport express (ÜFEX, line RE 22) runs hourly directly between Munich Airport and Regensburg main station – no changes, with Wi-Fi and power sockets at your seat. The journey takes about 1¼ hours. From the main station it is roughly 20 minutes on foot to us, or a few minutes on the free old-town bus line A.

Shuttle from Munich Airport

airportLiner to the door

The airportLiner takes you from Munich Airport straight to the apartment. The shared airport shuttle starts at €38 per person and direction, a private transfer at €234 per vehicle. Free cancellation until 12 noon on the previous day.

From Nuremberg Airport

Metro and regional train

From Nuremberg Airport the U2 metro line reaches the main station in about 12 minutes; from there regional trains continue to Regensburg. Connections and tickets are available at bahn.de.
